Happy Groundhog Day! Here's what I've been up to, as of late...
I took my first test since college. It was a surprisingly anxiety-inducing experience.
This is the best salad ever. Really. This is the best salad ever. It got me through many painful grad school night classes, and I love it so much I never eat it -- I weirdly feel like it would spoil the specialness. Ingredients? Arugula, strawberries, avocado, feta, olive oil and a little salt. Mmmm!
My new cookbook convinced me that I should replace my ordinary sea salt with fleur de sel. The verdict? I don't particularly taste a difference, but sprinkling it on a meal does feel special. ...I can be such a sucker.

Leftovers from this dish lasted me for like two weeks. Is that gross?

Houston had a few ice storms over the last week. We also had some intermittently beautiful days. This particular one was so beautiful (and mosquito-free!) that I left my door open.

Getting a new notebook feels like getting a little bit of Christmas. As part of the 40 Days we are doing a lot of journaling. I haven't been explicitly following the given prompts, but I am carrying this guy around with me and jotting in it as I feel the urge. It's even helped curb a few bouts of anxiety.

This wasn't an action shot -- that ball had come to rest.
Pretty sad the groundhog saw his shadow. Happy week to you!
